Creative control
All creative decisions including all filming and editing will be at the complete discretion of the producers who will have complete creative control of the finished video films.
We have a very full range of packages which can be accessed from the menu at the top of this page. The difference in price is not in the quality, it's in what we do and what we deliver.
On full payment of all fees the producers will assign to the client a licence to use the completed video films without limit of time or territory. Limits on media will normally be because of the licence terms under which any music is used.
Where “library” or “royalty free” music is used the terms of the license will normally include permission to post the video films online.
Where the client has chosen to use commercial music this will be arranged under the terms of a Limited Manufacturing Licence issued by the Performing Rights Society which will include permission to use physical media such as memory cards, usb sticks and hard drives but not to post the video films online.
Any music used in the video films will be appropriately licensed and a copy of the licence will be given to the client. The client must agree to abide by the licence terms and protect and hold harmless the producers from any breach of copyright made by the client.
All physical media such as memory cards and hard drives together with the the video material and clips contained in the physical media remain the property of the producers. The producers will have the right to use all video material for any purpose in connection with the promotion or marketing of Gavin wedding films without limit of time, medium or territory. The producers will not be entitled to sell or license any material from your wedding to any third party.
If you choose to upload any of the material we supply to Social Media you should satisfy yourself that the terms and conditions of copyright that such action confers on the social media platform is acceptable to you.
You may cancel your agreement with the producers in writing only. This may be by e-mail or by postal mail. Telephone calls, voice messages, text messages and other forms of messaging are not acceptable.
If you cancel your agreement with the producers then the producers will have a right to a cancellation fee in accordance with the following terms
If cancelled more than six calendar months before your wedding date the producers will be entitled to retain your booking fee.
If cancelled less than six calendar months but more than six weeks before your wedding date the producers will be entitled to retain your booking fee and to require a further payment of three hundred pounds which must be paid at the time of cancellation. Failure to pay this further payment will mean that the cancellation is not accepted and you may become liable to pay the full package price.
If cancelled less than six weeks before your wedding date the producers will be entitled to payment in full of the package price agreed.
The producers will be entitled to cancel their agreement with the client and retain the booking fee if the balance is not settled in full six weeks before their wedding date.
Where a postponement is legally imposed by a government regulation such as a pandemic lockdown the producers will work with you and your other suppliers and venue to accommodate a new date and make a new agreement.
Where this is possible your booking fee and any part of the balance you have paid will be set against the new agreement. Where this is not possible any part of the balance your have paid along with half of your booking fee will be refunded. The producers will be entitled to retain the remaining half of your booking fee to cover administration costs.
Where a postponement is due to any reason other than government regulation the producers will work with you and your other suppliers and venue to accommodate a new date and make a new agreement. Where this is possible your booking fee and any part of the balance you have paid will be set against the new agreement. In addition the producers will be entitled to make a further charge equivalent to half of the original booking fee to cover administration costs.
Where a postponement is due to any other reason than government regulation and it has not been possible for the producers to accommodate your new date and make a new agreement the producers will be entitled to treat the postponement as a cancellation and retain monies and make charges as set out in the cancellation terms.
Other Professionals
The celebrant, the photographer, the stylist, the make up artist, the hairdresser the venue staff all work hard to produce what they believe will be a memorable day for you.
Sometimes this means that those other professionals can impede the work of the videographers and filmmakers either by not being ready in time, not cooperating with us, specifying where we may or may not position cameras or by standing in front of and physically blocking our cameras.
We will not be responsible if the coverage we can achieve falls short of expectation due to these factors.
Bridesmaids, Groomsmen and Guests
In a similar way to the other professionals bridesmaids, groomsmen and guests sometimes stand in front of and physically block our cameras particularly during the ceremony, the cake cutting and the first dance.
We will make them aware of this and try to have them avoid doing so but we will not be responsible if the coverage we can achieve falls short of expectation due to these factors.
Weather
Inclement weather normally means that photography and therefore videography is done inside the venue. The weather also determines whether or not we can use our drones to capture footage of your day.
Where this is the case and the coverage we can achieve falls short of expectation we cannot be held responsible.
Liability
If the producers fail to attend as agreed for any reason or if having attended fail to deliver the video films as agreed due to camera failure or any other reason the extent of their liability will be to refund the full amount which you have paid including your booking fee.
